Got to ski off the south summit of Lone Peak on Saturday. Good friends make walking a dirt road and bushwhacking with skis on your back more worth it. And the corn snow was super fun.

Japanese Coulior on Mount Barille. The route let loose a wet slide avalanche as we got started up the route, and at 9:15 we turned around due to snow balling up on our crampons. We got about halfway up the couloir, and due to the weather that socked in the next day, this was to be our last route attempt of the trip.

Picked a no-so-great day to try and get up the Root Canal on the Mooses Tooth. The low visibility and snow sluffing made me uncomfortable with negotiating the icefall and seracs.

Day 2: We climbed most of the way to the top of the route Freezy Nuts on the London Tower. We bailed before reaching the top not wanting to be in the thing in case of an afternoon warming-induced avalanche.

Ruth gorge climb #1, an attempt on the Norwegian route on Peak 747. Got stopped by a vertical wall of sugar snow and then chased away by an avalanche.

Alaska shakedown, 1 week to go. High winds and lots of snow kept us out of the high peaks in the Tetons, so we scratched around in Death Canyon instead.
